R'folia is a tea brand dedicated to exceptional, high-quality teas from distinctive origins. We work closely with independent tea farms that continue generations of traditional craftsmanship and excellence.

The name R'folia stands for “rare leaves.” Each tea we offer is carefully selected from unique terroirs, distinguished by its character, texture, and refined taste.

Our story began four years ago. When our founder, Lin, moved to Amsterdam for her studies, she was drawn to the city’s vibrant coffee culture. Coffee soon became part of her daily routine. However, over time, she noticed that her body reacted sensitively to caffeine.

That was the moment she turned back to her roots.

Lin comes from Chaozhou, a city in southern China famous for its specialty oolong tea and deep tea traditions. Rediscovering the gentle strength of tea, she was reminded of its balance, ritual, and quiet power. Yet in Europe, she found that many tea products were flavored blends with artificial additives, often lacking depth and authenticity.

So she decided to share truly rare leaves, authentic teas from their original terroirs, with more people.

Tea has been enjoyed for thousands of years. Interestingly, the Dutch word “thee” originates from the Chaozhou/Fujian dialect pronunciation “te,” the region where our founder comes from. The connection between tea and the Netherlands has existed for centuries.

For us, tea is more than a beverage. It is a daily ritual that nurtures the mind and supports the body. Through R'folia, we hope to reconnect people with this timeless treasure, passed down through generations.
